One of our clients, a leader in leisure park equipment, asked us to manufacture a skate ramp for Upton Skate Park. This was nothing unusual as we manufacture skate ramps on a regular basis for this client, except that this particular ramp had to be removable, making it a unique challenge.

The first step was to work on the best way to make the ramp not only removable but at the same time safe and of course usable. We decided to build legs to the frame which would be buried into the ground, the frame itself sitting on the ground. Then, the ramp would be sitting and attached to the frame. To remove the ramp, all we would need to do is detach the ramp from the frame, leaving the structure on the ground.

After our client accepted the concept and design, we then manufactured both the frame and the ramp.
